Laurel S. Alberty, CFP®
Laurel Alberty (Al-behr-Tee) brings nearly 15 years of experience in asset management and financial and estate planning to Alberty Financial. A Miami native, she received her undergraduate degree in International Business from University of Georgia before beginning her career in the life and long-term care insurance industry. In 1998 Laurel transitioned into financial planning as an advisor and CFP® (certified financial planner) for Wachovia Securities, Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney.
Drawing on this depth of experience, Laurel is committed to the providing the best financial planning services for individuals and families. As president of Alberty Financial, she established a fee-based, commission-free policy –no compensation comes from the purchase or sale of products—in order to best steward the financial resources of clients and build trusting and enduring relationships.
Laurel is committed to her community, supporting numerous non- profit organizations. A Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and a 2003 Athena Award nominee, she also pens a column on personal finance for the Athens Banner – Herald and The Oconee Leader. Laurel resides in Watkinsville with her husband and her son.
